The Angola Food Academy (AFA) is a 6 month academy program that educates young food talents to become the future food leaders of the country. It connects talents across the food value chain, facilitates collaboration to accelerate systemic change in Angola. Over a span of these 6 months the group will meet 3 full weekends where they physically travel the food system and experience what different positions in the food system entails. In between these weekends there will be in 6 person and online training days.

We are not a standard academy. We believe in experience learning. Our classrooms? Farms, harbours, greenhouses, manufacturers, kitchens and offices of Angola’s most knowledgeable scientists, journalists, professors, product developers, producers, entrepreneurs and activists.
